Standing O congratulates the justices assigned to the Civil Term of Kings County Supreme Court, who last year completed more jury trials and decided more non-jury cases than justices in any other county in the state, announced Justice Lawrence Knipel.
The civil term justices handle non-criminal cases, including name changes, foreclosures, and elder-law cases, among others, according to the New York State Unified Court System, which added that Brooklyn is home to the busiest civil term in the Empire State.
