Police are investigating the Saturday night shooting in Bushwick that left a man dead.
Officers responded to a call regarding an assault at approximately 9:14 p.m. on Aug. 17 near Halsey Street and Wilson Avenue and, upon arriving at the scene, found an unconscious 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the torso lying on the ground.
EMS arrived and transported the victim to Wyckoff Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Cops are withholding the name of the victim pending family notification.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
