A man was found dead floating in the water near Sheepshead Bay, according to police.

Police found a dead man floating in the water near Sheepshead Bay on Sunday night.

Dennis Bennett, a 64-year-old Marine Park resident, was pulled out of Shell Bank Creek, near Knapp Street and Harkness Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. on April 7, according to cops. First responders pronounced Bennet dead at the scene.

The New York City Medical Examiner will determine the cause of Bennet’s death, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
