Cops find dead man in water near Navy Yard

Found floating: Police found the body of a 53-year-old man dead in the water near the Navy Yard Pier C Tuesday around 1:41 p.m.

Cops found a man dead in the water at the Navy Yard Tuesday afternoon.

The police’s harbor unit recovered the 53-year-old’s body from the water at 1:41 p.m. and brought him to Pier C, where paramedics pronounced him dead.

Police are withholding the man’s identification until they can notify his family, according to the authorities.

The city’s medical examiner has yet to determine a cause of death and we will update this story with more information as it becomes available.
