Police on Thursday arrested the man suspected of killing a playwright in Greenpoint last month.

Authorities caught the 20-year-old suspect around 1 pm on Norman Avenue between Dobbin and Guernsey streets, steps away from where he allegedly stabbed George Carroll to death as he was walking home with his wife on Monitor Street near McGolrick Park on Aug. 18.

The suspect — a resident of the Bushwick Houses who cops had been hunting for more than a week — was charged with murder in the second degree and will be arraigned today.

He had 13 prior arrests, including grand larceny and armed robbery, according to police.

The man stabbed Carroll, 42, after chasing him down following a dispute the two had when the playwright passed him on the street.

Why is the BP refusing to report his name - a matter of public record - when it has been in the media since Aug. 21st?
The killer's name is Gary Correa:

And what does this mean: 'following a dispute the two had when the playwright passed him on the street': 'dispute while passing'?
What was this 'dispute'?
That he had the TEMERITY to walk down his block, returning to his apt, with his wife?
And 'alleged'?
She was begging the killer to stop stabbing her husband over and over again: do you think as an eyewitness to this savagery - feet away - there's any question as to who did this?
On the same day that this story broke, this paper had an extensive piece on 'holistic treatment' for Brooklyn women 'suffering from the difficulties of menstruation', while Carroll's killer went unmentioned. Why?
