Flames erupt in Bergen Beach home

Fire Marshals are investigating a blaze that broke outside an E. 70th Street home in Bergen Beach in the middle of the night on April 8.

Flames erupted outside the first floor of the home between Avenues U and V at about 4:45 am, and 60 firefighters had the fire under control by 5:18 am, a fire department spokesman said.

There were no injuries, the spokesman said.
