A guy tried to rape a woman in the elevator of her Ditmas Park building on Jan. 1, according to a police report.

The lowlife started talking to the 22-year-old victim as she was entering her building at around 10:35 pm, then followed her into the elevator where he threw her to the ground and tried to rip her pants off, cops said.

The woman started screaming, and when the elevator doors opened, the perv ran off, police said.

Authorities describe the man as around 20 years old, 5-foot-nine and 160 pounds, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black work boots.

Police have released security footage of a suspect.

Police ask anyone with information about the crime to call (800) 577–8477, submit tips at, or text 274637 followed by TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
