Cops cuffed a teen after her and other accomplices allegedly opened fire on a group of people, wounding two in a Classon Avenue playground on Aug. 8, according to a report.

Gunfire rang out at the Classon Playground near Lafayette Avenue at 7:20 pm, police said. A 33-year-old man caught a bullet in his right arm, while a 32-year-old woman took a slug in her left leg, police said. Paramedics transported both to New York Methodist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The assailants took off on foot after shooting up the playground, but cops managed to grab a 17-year-old who they say fired numerous gunshots in the assault, according to a report. Cops did not recover a weapon, a report said.

Phone it in

Police arrested a pair of Fort Greene women who they say stole and smashed up a woman’s cellphone on Cumberland Walk on Aug. 2, according to a report.

The victim was outside an apartment building between Park and Myrtle avenues at 8:15 pm when two women approached her and snatched her cellphone from her hand, police said.

The woman led cops to an apartment where she identified two women, 18 and 21, of swiping her phone, according to police. Cops looked into the accusation and found the two alleged thieves had damaged the victim’s mobile device beyond use, and officers collared the pair, according to a report.

Alleged rape

Cops arrested a 15-year-old boy on Aug. 8 who they say raped a young relative in a Cumberland Walk home on Aug. 7, according to a report.

Police say the teen was with the 6-year-old victim in her home between Park and Myrtle avenues at 4 am when raped her, according to a report.

Police collared the teen the next day at 12:30 pm on Nevins Street between Schermerhorn and State streets, according to a report. It was not clear how the teen is related to his alleged victim.

Sweeping argument

Officers collared a man who they say bludgeoned a man with a broomstick on Lefferts Place on Aug. 3, according to a report.

The victim was arguing with the alleged brute between Grand and Classon avenues at 9 pm when the suspect became enraged and beat his foe with a wooden broomstick, police said.

After inflicting considerable injury, the suspect took off, however, cops managed to track him down 15 minutes later on Atlantic Avenue at Carlton Avenue, according to a report.

Reasonable discourse

Joey from Clinton Hills says:
I think the Classon Playground shooting was at "old home day" or whatever the neighborhood reunion is called. There is often bad behavior at this annual event, but the 88th looks the other way. The shooting took place next to the 88th Precinct - a fact that none of the news stories I read this weekend mentioned. Lame and shameful.
