Police are help identifying a man they say set fire to an East Flatbush vegetarian restaurant in the early morning hours of July 23.

Cops say the flamethrower approached the vegetarian restaurant near the corner of Church and Bedford Avenues at around 3 am on July 23 and intentionally set fire to the building, causing interior and exterior damage to the veggie-lovers haven.

Authorities released surveillance of the man, who appears to drop something outside the restaurant, causing flames to leap up as he walks away.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto Crime Stoppers’ website at or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.

Reach reporter Allegra Hobbs at or by calling (718) 260–8312.
