Police are looking for the creep who they say sexually assaulted a woman in Bay Ridge on July 16.

The woman was walking near 95th Street and Third Avenue at 10:58 pm that Wednesday when the assailant ran up from behind, threw her onto a bench, put his hand up her skirt, and touched her over her underwear, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit tips on the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by text-messaging tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering “TIP577.”

It's because everywhere else in BK is hipsters, and hipsters couldn't be bothered to do ANYTHING, even assault someone.

Lived in Bay Ridge from Elsewhere now says:
Bay Ridge is quiet and sedate and more like a Long Island suburban town and that's why it feels safe to its residents. But as a woman those same things made me feel less safe living there because the streets were completely desolate in the evening. I would walk the entire way home from the train and never pass anybody because everybody drove and it's not a commuter neighborhood. And so it always struck me as very easy for assaults on women to happen there. I am now much more comfortable living in a neighborhood where there are always people out and about on the sidewalks and sitting on corners and stoops.

The dark streets with the 4 story brownstones and tall trees in Park Slope creep me out at night.
