A couple was found dead in a Greenpoint hot tub over the weekend.

Police say they found the couple, 58-year-old Jacek Crockiewitz and 66-year-old Alicja Wieczorkiewiez, expired in the bubbling pool in the woman’s apartment on Nassau Avenue between Humboldt and Diamond streets at 3:30 pm on Sunday. Crockiewitz lived in Queens.

Wieczorkiewiez’s roommate first found the couple in the Jacuzzi at around 1:30 pm, cops said.

An empty gallon of vodka was found nearby, the Daily News reported.

Health experts claim there are myriad risks to soaking while drunk.

The city’s medical examiner has not yet determined what caused the couple’s deaths, police said.

Ted from Iowa says:

How cute of you to make light of these deaths. These were people, not batteries or yogurt.

Ruth Cavanaugh from STaten Island says:
Ted from Iowa: Expired also means they drew their last breaths. Evidently the hot water and vodka in their blood caused them to stop breathing. So, it wasn't making "light" of their deaths, it was stating the facts.

Now, I'm no dentist, and I don't want to start any trouble here on this board, but do you know who could have told you that? Your own John Wasserman, that's who. Having said that, I do suspect something doesn't sit quite right with these facts (located above). Perhaps there is more to this story than meets the eye.

Mary from Greenpoint Brooklyn says:
First of all his name is TROTKIEWICZ, Second it was a special delivery mailman who found the bodies in the hot tub. Question, why was the door opened while they were butt naked in a tub in the middle of the day so that the mailman walked in. A lot of unanswered questions concerning the circumstances of these deaths. Was is murder? Whoever was there with them ran out quickly and left the door opened?. Otherwise the mailman would not walk in. They knock and leave a note. What is taking so long for autopsy reports and cause of death? Toxicology? takes forever.. They were both burried already. Shame, waste of life. People should not make light of this story, it is nothing to laugh at. Greenpoint is a good neighborhood but stuff does happen here. Its like Payton Place news travels quickly. These two people were in the privacy of her home, he had a lover, wife found out, wow, tragic, very sad for wife. In her anger she has to take care of his funeral, which I'm sure is much easier on her now. She dumped his ass in the grave, which he deserved. Probably cremated him first so its cheaper.

Mary from Greenpoint says:
I'm awaiting the medical examners report on the cause of their deaths. Both died same time, why?
There's alot of speculation/gossip going in the neighborhood, none of which make any sense.
