A man was cuffed for attempting to steal a gray two-door sedan parked on Bridge Street on Oct. 1, police said.

A cop spotted the larceny in progress between Water and Front streets at 2:50 am. When the perp attempted to run away, the cops found that he had a long dagger sticking out of his pants pocket.

The defendant later admitted to stealing the rims to re-sell them, police said.
