Cop busted for driving drunk Downtown on Independence Day

An off-duty cop was arrested Downtown for getting behind the wheel after allegedly boozing it up on the Fourth of July, cops said.

NYPD officer Elias Blunt was collared for drunk driving in the 84th Precinct, which also covers Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, at 6:05 pm on Thursday, police said.

Blunt was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breathalyzer test after cops asked him to.
