Knife-wielding duo

Police arrested a 29-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman for brandishing knives at a man on Columbia Street on June 16.

The victim said he was between Mill Street and Centre Mall at 7:26 pm when the two knife-wielding menacers followed him down the street waving the blades at him.

The suspects face menacing, harassment, and criminal possession of weapons charges.

No hitting

A 28-year-old man was arrested for hitting a woman on Bond Street on June 14, police say.

The victim said she was between Baltic and Wyckoff streets at 5:35 pm when the man punched her twice in the face, causing lacerations and swelling to her right eye.

The man faces assault and harassment charges.
