A woman suffered through 20 minutes of terror while trapped inside the wreckage of an ambulance that flipped over after colliding with a Honda Civic in Kensington Thursday.

Firefighters who raced to the scene found the emergency vehicle sprawled on its side on Albemarle Road near E. Fourth Street at 9:52 am with the woman was trapped inside the wreck.

They freed her using the Hurst tool, the so-called “jaws of life.” She and two other injured people were transported to Lutheran Medical Center. All are in stable condition, said an FDNY spokeswoman.

Reasonable discourse

To be clear (and only the caption used the right term), this is a AMBULETTE. These glorious inventions of medical billing are only 1 step above a dollar van. It's not an emergency vehicle. It's a car service that can send their bills to Medicare and Medicaide.

First of all, your comment was stupid - so I ignored it. I was responding to "old time" who is still convinced everyone is from Ohio.
