Congrats Mike! 71st Precinct Officer Michael Scarcella was given a special honor last week as he was named Patrol Borough Brooklyn South Cop of the Month.

With his commanding officer Deputy Inspector Peter Simonetti standing by his side, Scarcella received a plaque and a hearty handshake from Chief Jospeh Fox, Patrol Borough Brooklyn South’s commanding officer during a brief ceremony at Brooklyn South headquarters in East Flatbush.

Scarcella was honored for all of his hard work over the year; helping the 71st Precinct achieve an 11 percent reduction in crime as well as a 26 percent drop in robberies.
