Pint-sized patriots at Public School 216 showed their true colors by offering a pomp-filled salute to local war heroes in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Visiting war heroes from Marlboro Post 1437-Jewish War Veterans received a warm welcome during the program of tribute, which recognized the sacrifices of deceased and current soldiers with ceremony at the Sheepshead Bay school, also known as the Arturo Toscanini School, 350 Avenue X.

Cheerleaders and a stage recital added to the pomp.
