Reasonable discourse

j mork from p hts says:
So true -- cars are space hogs and it's not surprising that when we start to reduce the amount of space available to the driving minority that motorists will wail like stuck pigs.

That doesn't mean we should listen to them though.

Mike from Park Slope says:
it's worse than this -- PPW is actually a *one way street* so the guy in the cartoon actually has ALL the lanes to himself, not just half of them.

Tom Rorb from Red Hook says:
I don't know why drivers (actually it is just Marty and a few ignorant folks) are so upset about this. Just stand out on PPW at any time of the day, it is NEVER backed up. NEVER will be even with one lane missing. It will just be safer.

cristian from dumbo says: the cartoonist and embarrassed to say that depiction of ppw as a two way throughfare is definitely a recognized mistake. a version that corrects my oversight was sent moments later and they posted and printed the wrong one. the dumbass.

Best cartoon Brooklyn Paper has ever run, despite the error on the two-way thing.

Josh from Windsor Terrace says:
This nicely sums up the basic complaint I heard from drivers at the DOT meeting about this on Monday. That and 'Cyclists make the road unsafe!' Yes, unlike cars, bikes are unsafe.

Good Cartoon
