Moja, a baboon at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo, gets acquanted with a new “freezey” friend. Zookeepers Jennifer Plummer and Astra Kalodoukas made this cold-weather pal as a form of enrichment for the baboons; these playful primates are often treated to snowmen because they include such edible delights as peanuts and carrots, and also because they’re big enough for the animals to play with and knock over – which is exactly what happened after Moja ate all of the snowman’s peanut “buttons.” The Prospect Park Zoo is located at 450 Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Park.
