OK, gang. Here we go. Once again I offer you AMERICA - BY THE NUMBERS.

Brooklyn born Timothy Geithner %u2013 remember him? He’s the lying tax cheat who “forgot” to pay, didn’t know “if” he had to pay and deducted some non-deductable items on his income taxes. He’s now Obama’s Secretary of the Treasury of the United States. There’s a joke there somewhere.

The results of the most recent Rasmussen national telephone surveytell us that with the economy being the number one issue for voters,42% of America say that he’s doing a poor job handling the credit crisis and federal bailout programs. Only 20% gave him a favorable rating while the rest don’t have an opinion or aren’t even sure who he is.He’s still blaming the nation’s problems on the past administration. Only Democrats are still buying that.

Talking on your hand held cell, texting, and other driver distractions resulted in 5,870 fatalities in the United States last year as well as 515,000 injuries.Hey, come on guys. Put down the phone. Pay attention. The life you save%u2026%u2026

On the day that Oprah interviewed Sarah Palin, Miss Winfrey’s ratings soared to the highest she’s had in years. On November 18th, the night the former Governor from the north appeared on The Sean Hannity Show, the number of viewers, according to Nielsen, was 4, 200,000. Who was it the Sunday before that called her a joke and that nobody is really interested in what she had to say?

To put Sean’s numbers in perspective, that same night O’Reilly, who is usually number one, attracted almost 3.9 million viewers. Glenn Beck, 2.5 million. Greta 2.4. Bret only 2.2 and Shep slightly less than 2 million. Coming in at numbers Numbers 7, 8 and 9 with approximately 1 million each were Keith Olbermann, Nancy Grace and Rachel Maddow. With 835,000 Larry King was tenth, while Motormouth Matthews, the top speed talker on TV, only 625,000.

It is interesting to note that the top six shows in Cable News are all on Fox News. At this very minute there are six producers marching around the studios chanting “We’re number one! We’re number one!”So who’s the genius in the White House that declared war on Fox? Not very bright.

Only 35% of New York State voters think the terror crimes trials should be held in Manhattan. 55% are opposed. Thanks a lot, Chuck.

Did you know that 15% of Democrats in the workforce are currently unemployed while the number for Republicans is only 10%? I can give a great reason for this but, as the title of this offering says, It’s Only My Opinion.

After Israel the United States is home for the largest number of Jews on the planet. Depending on the source one uses, that figure is about six million. Interesting number isn’t it. That’s about 2% of America. I am StanGershbein@Bellsouth.net wishing every single one of them a Happy and Safe Chanukah.
