‘Twas the season for parishioners to unite in song %u2013 plus enjoy a merry mingle with Kris Kringle %u2013 as Yuletide festivities got underway at Good Shepherd Church.

The young and the young-at-heart ushered in the holidays at the house of worship, Batchelder Street and Avenue S, by illuminating a handsome fir during a program of cheer, marked by Christmas caroling and the arrival of St. Nick.

The red-clad elf waved to the holiday hordes below as he landed on the church roof en route from the North Pole.
