Found murdered

Cops are pulling out all the stops in their search for the killer who gunned down a 29-year-old Carroll Gardens drummer Friday.

Police said that they were first alerted to Troy Young’s death shortly after midnight on December 11 after a friend of Young’s went to the 76th Precinct claiming that he had not heard from the musician in the past few days.

Cops were dispatched to Young’s basement apartment on Fourth Street between Smith and Hoyt streets, where they found the 29-year-old on the floor. He had been shot once in the head, according to published reports.

Young was declared dead at the scene.

By late Monday, investigators were still combing through the apartment, looking for any evidence that can help them find his murderer.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to come forward.

Calls can be made to the NYPD CrimeStoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
