A 16-year-old was struck in the face with an umbrella during an argument that began in Boerum Park, but ended on Bond Street.

Witnesses told police that the two girls were found arguing inside the park, bordered by Warren, Smith, Hoyt and Baltic streets, at 8 p.m. on September 9.

The girls then fled the park to Bond Street near Butler Street, where one of the girls attacked the other with her umbrella.

Suffering pain and some swelling to her eye and face, the victim was taken to Long Island College Hospital for treatment.

The girl who allegedly attacked her, identified as Brittany Brown, was taken into custody, charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

It was unclear what sparked the argument as this paper went to press.
