The Seniors in Shape Program is kicking off its winter session beginning January 5 and running to March 21 for anyone 55 years of age and older.
Seniors in Shape offers a variety of exciting classes each season: Defensibility Fit, Latin Cardio, Sculpt & Tone, Slimnastics, Fitness Center, Tap Dance, Tai Chi, Arthritis Exercise, Shimmy Fit, Dance-A-Size, Yoga, Salsa Workout and much more.
The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Saturdays.
Cost is $5 for a day pass; $2.50 extra for spouses; special rates for groups. Discounted packages are available.
The New Winter Session of Seniors In Shape Happenings include:
• “Salsa Workout: Calling All Dancers,” January 10 through March 21, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. No experience necessary and no partners needed.
• Monday’s Special Workshops, January 26 & March 21 from 1:40-3:10 p.m., presented by TV personality Janet Brennan, who has appeared on Nalunde TV Shows Inc., David Letterman, Regis, Sally Jesse Raphael and much more.
• Yoga mini retreat, March 2 from 1:40-3:10 p.m.
All events will be held at Aviator Sports, Hangar 5 in Floyd Bennett Field.
