The Hoyt Street Association will hold its free, annual “Stories in the Garden” series, every Tuesday at 7 p.m., June 30 to July 28 at the Hoyt Street Garden, corner of Hoyt Street and Atlantic Avenue.

Volunteers will read their favorite stories to children and parents, and free lemonade and cookies will be served for both members of the audience and passersby.

The schedule is as follows: Melanie Hoopes and Graciela Carriqui (of Musica Para Mi), June 30; Chris Kynard (who will do tap dancing) and Candace Woodward, July 7; Diane Jeanne Lewis and Peter Laughter, July 14; Ilene Jaroslaw and Susan Detrich (illustrator), July 21; and Anna Rich (children’s book illustrato­r⁄artist) and Dave Hall (singer⁄­musician­song writer), July 28.
