The Good Shepherd Sports 10th Annual 5K Run⁄Walk in memory of Jimmy McElroy will be held June 20, rain or shine.

The race will start and finish at Good Shepherd in the Batchelder Street schoolyard and the course runs through the streets of Marine Park. The school is located at 1943 Brown Street.

Registration and check−in begins at 8 a.m. in the schoolyard and the run⁄walk starts at 10 a.m. The Children’s Fun Run begins after the completion of the run⁄walk.

The cost to participate is $15 for adults who register before June 20 via internet or mail; mail entries must be received no later than June 20. The fee is $20 for adults on June 20 starting at 8 a.m.

An entry form is available online at www.goodshepherdsports.org⁄5k−race.

The fee for the Children’s Race – Pee Wee Fun Run is $5. All participants will receive a T−shirt and goodie bag. There will be a trophy for the first overall male⁄female winner.

Trophies will be handed out to the top three runners in each division: 12⁄under, 13−19, 20−29, 30−39, 40−49, 50−59, 60−69, 70. All children who participate in the fun run will receive medals.
