Don’t miss our updates:

More than 60 firefighters rushed to Court Street near the corner of Bergen Street this morning, dousing a smokey blaze that broke out at 8 am on the top floor of a four-story building above the legendary Court Street Bagels.

Fire officials said the conflagration, such as it was, was under control within 30 minutes — and there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the mini-inferno was unknown.

But readers know that where there’s smoke, there’s fire — so The Brooklyn Paper’s “First Responder Unit” is on this story like cream cheese on a bialy. Check back later.

Reasonable discourse

anon from cobble hill says:
It was not the building above Court St bagels, but next door to that building. It was above the immigration attorney's office. It was the top floor, though. You should correct your story.
