A member of Community Board 10 was in the spotlight at the board’s April meeting.

CB 10 Chairperson Dean Rasinya and District Manager Josephine Beckmann presented a plaque to the Reverend Khader El−Yateem, a long−time community activist, to mark his 10th anniversary as a minister. El−Yateem officiates at the Salam Arabic Lutheran Church, on Ovington Avenue, and has been a pivotal figure in efforts around Brooklyn to promote understanding among residents who come from different backgrounds, particularly in the wake of 911.
