Teen fiends

A posse of teenage hoodlums beat up and mugged a 13-year-old boy on Columbia Street on May 18.

The victim told police that five older boys, approximately 17-18 years of age, punched and kicked him repeatedly near the corner of Lorraine Street before stealing his cellphone and a silver ring at around 3:40 pm.

The teen was taken to Long Island College Hospital to treat the cuts on his arms and legs.
