Automotive improved to 5-0 in Brooklyn A West with an 89-44 demolition of Secondary School for Law, Journalism and Research on Monday. Jonathan Delacruz led the Pistons with 16 points and Eli Richardson and Clareld Stabler had 12 apiece.

Coach Will Stasiuk is enjoying the ride. Automotive was expected to return 13 players, but only seven have showed. A few have been injured and others quit. It has made them a small team: Richardson, a 6-foot-5 center, is their tallest player.

“I’m pleasantly surprised with how well we’re playing this year,” Stasiuk said.

Alfred E. Smith 81, Evander Childs 75: John Hargrove scored 25 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, Aaquil Bootman had 14, Jahffet Manning 12 and Aaron Bishop to for Smith (5-1) in Bronx A East. Childs is 4-2.

Morris 68, Columbus 58: Kaheem Roach scored 22 points and Derrick Gordon had 11 for Columbus (2-3) in Bronx A East. Morris is 2-3.

Taft 110, Stevenson 66: Brian Santos scored 21 points, Stephon Knight added 18, Juan Polanco had 16 and Xavier Parks had 15 and 12 assists for Taft (6-0) in Bronx A West. Stevenson is 0-4 in Bronx A East.

Bronx Science 63, Roosevelt 58: Jaleel Gardner scored 27 points and Brian Ruiz had 12 for Roosevelt (0-5) in Bronx A West. Bronx Science is 3-2.

Dewitt Clinton 60, Walton 33: Leroy Proudfoot scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds and Donnelle Davis added 10 for Clinton (2-3) in Bronx A West. Walton is 1-5.

Telecommunications 75, FDR 60: Zachary Heiss scored 16 points and Tahvon Gorham and Gregory Briggs each scored 12 for Telecomm (4-1) in Brooklyn A South. Josimel Gondola led FDR (5-1) with 18 points.

Westinghouse 72, Grand Street Campus 47: Marlon Cort scored 18 points and Curtis Pierce finished with 15 and 15 rebounds for Westinghouse (5-0) in Brooklyn A West. Grand St. fell to 1-4.

Banneker 76, Van Arsdale 47: Jamell Calloway scored 17 points and Theron McGregor had 13 for Van Arsdale (1-4) in Brooklyn A West. Banneker is 4-1.

Bread & Roses 90, Environmental Studies 83: Davonne Henry scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Antoine Mclaurin added 23 points for Roses (6-0) in Manhattan A Northwest. Environmental dropped to 3-1.

Stuyvesant 84, Seward Park 83: Nolan Becker had 41 points and 23 rebounds and Alan Tse added 16 for Stuyvesant (6-0) in Manhattan A Southwest. Seward Park is 4-2.

Economics & Finance 84, Bayard Rustin 65: Anthony Regalado scored 29 points and Kiaheem Foxworth finished with 22 and 11 rebounds for Economics (1-5) in Manhattan A Southwest. Bayard Rustin is 0-6.

Richmond Hill 70, Hillcrest 68: Leo Esonwunne had 19 points and 21 rebounds and Daniel Madison had 18 for Richmond Hill (2-2) in Queens A East. Hillcrest is 3-1.

John Adams 38, Springfield Gardens 35: Delshen Jefferson scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Adams (1-3) in Queens A East. Springfield is 2-2.

Lane 64, John Bowne 54: Argelix Gil had 23 points and 15 rebounds and Ka Von McDonald finished with 17 for Lane (4-0) in Queens A West. Bowne is 0-4.

Francis Lewis 54, Grover Cleveland 47: Phillip Gladney scored 19 points and James Hinton had 15 for Lewis (2-2) in Queens A West. Cleveland is 1-3.


Manhattan Village Academy 80, Graphic Communication Art 78: Brian Ramos scored 38 points and Alvaro Llanes had 25 for Manhattan Village (5-1) in Manhattan B-3. Graphic Communication is 3-2.

Aviation 49, American Studies 24: Adam Elamri scored 14 points and Jorge Soto had 10 for Aviation (5-1) in Queens B West. American Studies is 2-4.

Townsend Harris 82, Renaissance 37: Sheldon Jones had 28 points and 11 assists and Thomas Tsatsis had 21 for Townsend Harris (5-0) in Queens B East. Renaissance is 1-4.

Info Tech 84, Baccalaureate School 35: Rasheem Johnson scored 18 points, Lawrence Rossianno had 17 and Nicholas Dunbar 15 for Info Tech (4-1) in Queens B West.

Robert Kennedy 83, Law Enforcement 58: Trevor Stark scored 26 points and Marcel Johnson scored 25 points for Kennedy (4-1) in Queens B East. Law is 1-4.

Banana Kelly 74, Law, Government & Justice 42: Winston Smith scored 16 points, Isiaih Walker had 11 and Derrick Dennis 10 and 11 rebounds for Kelly (3-2) in Bronx B East. Law is 2-2.
