Brooklyn’s public school kids got the short end of the summer stick this year, returning to school on Tuesday morning — the earliest possible opening day, thanks to the way Labor Day fell this year.

That said, students at Park Slope’s PS 107 were (mostly) pleased to be back, as this photo shows.
