Members of Brooklyn 13 CERT were honored at Gracie Manson for their life-saving services, along with other CERT teams from throughout New York City.

Under the leadership of Chuck Reichenthal and Charlie Barbiera, Brooklyn l3 CERT was formed under City Councilman Domenic Recchia, Jr. and is comprised of 32 volunteers from Sea Gate to Brighton Beach, who have been trained to assist residents in any emergency.

CERT has already stepped in with flooding in Sea Gate, power outages at Warbasse and the tornado in Bay Ridge.
