A future resident of Hades stole a Carroll Street church’s checkbook and wrote more than $28,000 in notes to himself, cops said.

The church, which is between Third and Fourth venues at the corner of Denton Place, discovered the dastardly crime on July 11, but the thefts date back to June 23, cops said. The church secretary said she figured out the crime from the cancelled checks — all of which were made out to “IMA Electronics.”

Get out there!

Our friends at the 78th Precinct want YOU … to eat free food and enjoy activities at their annual “National Night Out” event on Aug. 5. The festivities begin with a march to Grand Army Plaza from the corner of Fifth Avenue and Sterling Place at 6 pm. Once in the shadow of the famed arch, the precinct’s community affairs office will provide the fun, food and games. For info, call (718) 636-6410.
