The Kings Bay YM-YWHA will bring Israel to the Greater Sheepshead Bay/Marine Park community for its Annual Israel Celebration June 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The annual celebration will feature lots of food, singing and dancing, Israeli-style, as well as instructors on hand teaching about the Jewish nation through interactive games, displays featuring remarkable achievements of Israel’s citizens, in addition to showcasing what the country has to offer, and opportunities for travel.

The community will also have a chance to enjoy live music; an Israeli marketplace featuring jewelry, Judaica, and Israeli crafts; and raffles and free giveaways. Children will get to bounce on the Dead Sea carnival ride, visit a “kibbutz,” replete with petting zoo, and participate in arts and crafts activities.

Live entertainment includes performers Ricky Penn, Avram Pengas, the Kings Bay Y School of Dance and others.

Nostrand Avenue between Avenues U and V will be closed off to traffic for the duration of the event; admission is free.
