The ‘eyes and ears’ of the Department of Education were hailed for being involved in their children’s education when the Community District Education Council 22 lauded mom and dad during an awards ceremony at Public School 255.

The plaudits capped the fourth annual Parents Association/Parent-Teacher Association Awards at the school, 1866 East 17th Street.

Council President Christopher Spinelli and Community Superintendent Marianne Ferrara presided over the tribute, which also featured the attendance of Councilmember Lew Fidler and Assemblymember Helene Weinstein, both of whom helped present the awards.
