Bonnets, straw boaters and sunhats topped the crop – vying for attention with other eye-pleasing headwear – when the Prospect Park Alliance held a benefit hat party by the waterfront.

The well-heeled group proved it was head and shoulders above the rest by enjoying a breakfast at the River Café beneath the Brooklyn Bridge.

Among the guests were New York City Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe, Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Julius Spiegel and Borough President Marty Markowitz.
