Looking good for Mother’s Day was as near as a trip to Pilo Arts Day Spa and Salon where a day of beauty primped mom, complete with freebies and tips from the pros.

The third annual Spring into Beauty showcase at the pamper palace, 8412 3rd Avenue, was held in conjunction with the College of Staten Island (CSI) Alumni Association, whose members enjoyed the evening of coddling, light fare and consultations with representatives from leading cosmetology companies.

In addition, board certified dermatologist Dr. David Biro, assistant clinical professor at Downstate Medical Center, and director of the Cosmetic and Laser Center in Bay Ridge, delivered a talk on the latest available cosmetic treatments and procedures, and demonstrated the use of facial fillers, such as Perlane and Restylane.

Visitors received complimentary hair cuts, hand and makeup treatments, plus free skincare samples.

The day was hosted by Pilo owner Elena Solitario, Class of ’82, CSI.
