Child scribe Anne Capeci took captivated first-graders on a jolly journey of words during a literacy salute at Public School 194.

The sixth annual educational day at the Sheepshead Bay school, 3117 Avenue W, featured the author of the “Magic School Bus” series, who read excerpts from her popular works and presented students with gift bags and one of her books as a keepsake.

The books were donated by the Kappa Delta Ta Pi. Eta Theta chapter at Brooklyn College.
