What’s the best place to hold a reading from the new murder mystery, “Graving Dock”? An actual graving dock, of course.
On Tuesday, Nov. 27, PortSide New york presents author Gabriel Cohen reading excerpts from his sequel to “Red Hook” at the GMD Shipyard Tailshaft and Valve Shop in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Prior to the performance, the audience will be invited to enjoy “beer and chow” while watching projections of photographs of the local waterfront.
“While Gabriel is reading, there will be a video behind him of the Buttermilk Channel,” Portside President Carolina Salguero, told GO Brooklyn. “That water is a linking device in the book, which opens with the body of a 10-year-old boy drifting ashore.”
Sounds like a grave story, indeed.
