Don’t miss our updates:

When the dust settled after BK Fashion Week(end) in March, we were left with one question: Where were all the Williamsburgers?

This weekend, L-train types will find out for themselves with the first “Williamsburg Fashion Weekend.” The three-day festival will feature local designers as well as live music, belly dancing and performance art.

Event organizer Artur Arbit told GO Brooklyn that there is no way to compare what’s happening in Williamsburg with the fashions shown at BK Fashion Week(end). “We’re showing designers outside the mainstream,” he said.

“This is Williamsburg, the most stylish place in the country,” said Arbit, “Yet we have [had] rock shows, but no fashion shows.” Not anymore.

“Williamsburg Fashion Weekend” at Secret Project Robot (210 Kent Ave., at Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg) will take place May 4–6. Free. For information, visit www.secretprojectrob....
