Note: There is an updated Brooklyn Spa Guide for 2006

GO Brooklyn’s fourth annual Brooklyn Spa Report comes on the heels of one of the harshest winters in memory, leaving us exhausted, with our shoulders hunched up and our skin dried out. Turn to spas for treatments that can relieve all that ails you. They can boost your spirit, melt away your muscle tension and return the moisture to your skin.

New spas are continuing to spring up throughout the borough: Nu Yu Day Spa opened in Clinton Hill with a mission to pamper and beautify its neighbors; D’Mai Urban Spa, which utilizes celebrity-beloved products, opened its Indonesian-themed spa in Park Slope; and InnerSpree Day Spa in Williamsburg is proving that spas aren’t just for quiet reflection anymore with its Sunday spa parties.

Established spas continue to heal and nurture Brooklynites in new ways. Pilo Arts Day Spa and Salon offers effective treatments to heal your most winter-buffeted extremities and Cynergy Spa in Fort Greene is teaming up with Tendrils to create a spa that coddles hair, too.

Many Brooklyn salons and specialty stores sell products to help you keep up your spa therapies, economically, at home. See our Top 10 List.

Remember, being stressed is a choice. Instead, we hope you’ll experience for yourself the world of treatments available to you through Spa Report 2004.
