To the editor:

I am writing in response to Borough President Marty Markowitz’s Jan. 31 letter to the editor published in The Brooklyn Papers.

The disrespect Mr. Markowitz displays toward a constituent, in this case Schellie Hagan, who not only voted for him but apparently gave time and money to his campaign, should put all the rest of us constituents on notice.

His next dismissal, of hundreds of homeless people as just “padding” the neighborhood census, leaves the reader with the distressing notion that we have put a boor in Borough Hall.
