Musician Moby and singer-actress Theo, of the Lunachicks, will be the King Neptune and Queen Mermaid leading this year’s Mermaid Parade starting at 2 pm on Saturday, June 26.

The floats filled with sequined, scantily clad mermen, mermaids (like the one at left) and the occasional pirate assemble at Surf Avenue and West 10th Street in Coney Island, then march to West 16th Street and back again.

For information on how to participate in the parade, call (718) 372-5159 or visit This event is free and open to the public and will take place rain or shine.
