The Washington Ballet will give its New York City premiere of "Journey Home" this Saturday - in Brooklyn!

The dance is a unique collaboration set to music performed live by the female a cappella group Sweet Honey in the Rock and it’s choreographed by Washington Ballet Artistic Director Septime Webre.

Also on the program are Twyla Tharp’s "Brief Fling" and Ben Stevenson’s "Three Preludes."

As part of the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts’ "World of Dance" series, the Washington, D.C.-based company will perform at Brooklyn College’s Walt Whitman theater, on Campus Road at Hillel Place on April 20 at 8 pm. Tickets are $35 and $40. For more information or to buy tickets, call (718) 951-4500.
