The Regina Opera Company will present Gilbert & Sullivan’s comic opera "The Mikado" on Dec. 1 at 7 pm and Dec. 2 at 4 pm at Regina Hall, 65th Street at 12th Avenue.

The English opera is set in Japan and revolves around the impending marriage of Yum-Yum to Ko-Ko, and of Nanki-Poo, the Mikado’s son, who woos and schemes to make Yum-Yum his wife. (Mike Leigh’s 1999 film "Topsy-Turvy" is based on this opera.)

Maestro Jose Alejandro Guzman will conduct the full orchestra. Tickets are $12, $8 seniors and students, $5 high school students. Free for children. For more information, call (718) 232-3555.
