Park Slope: The area around the filthy Gowanus Canal would be reborn with a restaurant atop the grimy Smith and Ninth street subway station, a public market under the viaduct near Lowe’s, “green” industries, new homes and, of course, a clean-flowing waterway under a plan released by an area community group this week. Carroll Gardens: A Brooklyn artist whose work is most typically displayed in real-estate offices is fighting back after one firm told him to remove four paintings because they were too controversial. Brooklyn Angle: The 94-year-old Carroll Gardens man whose landlord kicked him out of his apartment has found a new apartment nearby.
