On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, the Bay Ridge Corps of The Salvation Army will open its doors and offer free Thanksgiving dinners to "the lonely, the elderly, the homeless or anyone who finds it difficult to cook at home that day," according to Major Bryan Smith. Smith and his wife, fellow pastor Major Beverly Smith (pictured above left with volunteer Dianne Browning), will begin serving dinner at noon at the facility’s Peach Room at 252 86th St. between Third Avenue and Ridge Boulevard.
